Do you have a heart for children? Well whether or not you like to actually work with kids, children’s ministry has a spot for you! To actually work with kids, join our Kids Worship, Sunday School or Club 56 ministries. If you really have a heart for kids, but would rather work in the background join one of our teams as an organizer, or join our Mission Coordination Team or the Outreach Team. - Faith In Action – For more information contact Rusty Jack
Faith In Action is a resource ministry providing skilled and unskilled workers for building, repair, and renovation projects in the Grant County area. This ministry seeks to provide God’s people with ways to put their faith in action by helping those in need of better housing and to share the love of Christ with individuals in our community. This group of men and women work to do renovation as well as new construction projects in the community. In 2008, this team put over 1700 hours hard work into many various construction projects.

Mt. Olive tries to provide radical hospitality to all. The greeters are at the first point of contact with people coming on Sunday mornings. The greeters are at the main entrances to welcome each and every person. If you enjoy people and sharing in Christian hospitality, than this is the ministry for you.
- Missions Ministries – For more information contact Joy Wickline
The Mission Ministries of Mt. Olive church works to develop relationships with various mission oriented ministries throughout the community and world, then educate the congregation about those ministries, and provide opportunities for the church members to partner with those ministries. The Mission Ministries also provides financial support for those mission ministries through various fundraisers throughout the year.

Parish Nurses are committed to helping the church family become healthier physically by:- Promoting health screenings and blood pressure checks regularly at the church
- Providing health education when indicated
- Offering contests such as “The Biggest Loser Contest” as a fun way to lose weight
- Answering health related questions and/or directing individuals to a good resource person

- Praise Band/Praise Team – for more information Contact Tim Becker
- Praise Band - From piano and organ to guitars, drums and keyboard- we love to include them all. If you are interested in being involved in leading worship with your instrument, please Contact Tim Becker.
- Praise Team - Harmony is a beautiful thing. At Mt. Olive, a team of singers lead in worship. If this is your “cup of tea”, contact Tim Becker.
- Technology Team – for more information contact Tim Becker
- Sound – Mt Olive has a team of trained audio techs that run sound for Sunday worship as well as weddings, funerals, and special services. The team is set up on a weekly rotation.
- Presentation – Mt. Olive is blessed with a team of visual techs who project the song lyrics, graphics, videos, and sermon notes in each service. We are using the church presentation software Media Shout. This team is on a weekly rotation.
- Video – Mt Olive videos the worship service each Sunday and have a video producer and camera men each week. The team also shoots and produces some original video pieces for worship. We would love to have you as a part of this team!
- United Methodist Women – For more information contact Ruth Stevens
The United Methodist Women (UMW) is a mission oriented group that is open to all women. This ministry is supportive of local and world mission projects or needs. The UMW meets monthly on the second Monday of each month, except July, at 6:30 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall. Meetings include prayer, devotions, business meeting, program and dessert! Special events that these women help with are:- Rescue Mission meals
- Fund raising through the catering of meals
- Funeral dinners
- Meal catering to shut-ins
- College student care packages
- Prayer shawl ministry
- Annual Women’s Day Away Conference
- Yearly Bazaar for missions fund raising
- Yearly Christmas decorating of the church

A key part of the hospitality team at Mt. Olive is Ushers. Ushers are involved in serving everyone during each worship service. From greeting people as they enter the sanctuary to receiving the offering and assisting with direction and flow, the ushers are a vital part of the church’s family life.
- Worship Choir – For more information contact Tim Becker
If you enjoy praising and worshiping the Lord in song, then the Worship Choir is the place for you. Involvement is open to anyone from 7th graders to seasoned saints. The choir sings two Sundays a month during the school year and practices every Thursday evening from 6:30-7:30 p.m.- Christmas Choir- If you are unable to join Worship Choir but would enjoy singing during the Christmas musical, please join us on Thursdays from 6:30-7:45 p.m. in October through December.

Do you enjoy working with youth grades 7-12? If so, you won’t want to miss the opportunity to help with our youth Sunday School or XP3 ministries. For more information on these ministries, check out the youth ministries under the “Connect” tab. Or you can contact our youth director, Steve Schaal.
