Mt. Olive Preschool offers a Christ centered environment where all young children are welcome. We pray that each family will feel blessed and nurtured through the ministry of the preschool. It is our desire to give your child the very best educational and spiritual learning experience. We are called to serve families. We provide a Christian atmosphere that will impact young lives with God’s love while guiding their growth physically, emotionally, socially, mentally and spiritually in preparation for kindergarten.

Physical growth: The children are given daily opportunities to strengthen their large and small muscles. We play outside climbing, swinging and riding bikes. We work with play-dough, small manipulatives, crayons and scissors to enhance fine motor ability. We provide healthy snacks and teach good health practices.

Emotional growth: Preschool is a time to learn to separate from parents. We provide a loving, nurturing environment where the children feel safe with other adults and secure enough to leave mom or dad for a little while. The children learn confidence by practicing their independence. We provide community service ministry opportunities for the children to experience the joy of serving others.

Social growth: Preschoolers’ work is their play. We believe in play-based learning that also enhances each child’s ability to connect with new friends. We provide a rich environment that provides the children with many interesting play areas. Children are given opportunities to work together creating large art projects; giving them the sense of a close community. The children are also offered many occasions to meet special resource guests who share their occupations with the children; they meet nurses, fire fighters, police officers, paramedics and others who take the time to visit with the children and encourage social interaction.

Mental growth: Each age group experiences developmentally appropriate opportunities for kindergarten readiness. We provide activities that build strong reading, writing and math foundations. The children leave Mt. Olive with a love for learning.

Spiritual growth: Mt. Olive is a faith-based preschool. We encourage each child’s spiritual growth through daily prayer, Bible verses, Bible stories and weekly Chapel times. The teachers set an example by walking closly with Christ and exhibiting a personal relationship with Him. Each staff member is called to love the children and their families through Christ.
