THE EXTRA MILE: MATTHEW 5:41
In his sermon on the Mount Jesus proposed a righteousness that exceeds that of the Scribes and Pharisees who only followed the letter of the law not its spirit.  As an example of such righteousness Jesus said if a Roman soldier compels you to carry his pack a mile as was his legal rite under Roman law they (Jews an occupied people) should carry it two miles.  So in consideration for our medical staff, communities and neighbors lets go the extra mile.  Not because we are afraid of our fate but because we care about the health and well being of others.

Blessings,
Pastor Rob
